Other Compatibility Errors

  1. The property value contains one or more characters which are incompatible with the web: the table field and control names cannot contains characters which Access client accepts. This is not longer than 64 characters and may not contain any of the following: / : * ? “” < > | # { } % ~ & period (.), exclamation point (!), square brackets ([]), leading space, or begin with an equal sign (=).
  2. Allow Zero Length property and Required property need to set ‘true’ to be compatible with the Web: You can set both the Allow Zero Length and Required property of a field to “yes”.
  3. The Property value need to be empty or set it to “auto” to be compatible with the web: The error refers to subdatasheets that allows in SharePoint lists. To correct it you need to set the Subdatasheet Name property of the table to [None] or [Auto]. You will come across this message if values in the Link Child Fields and Link Master Fields properties. These properties need to be empty.
  4. The Calculated Column expression that can input field of a type incompatible with the Web, such as Memo, AutoNumber, Lookup, Hyperlink or Binary. Calculate columns a new in Access 2010 that won’t be legacy system. However if you use them you need to use the following data types: Text, Number, Currency, Yes/No, Date/Time.
  5. The calculated column result data type is incompatible with the Web: the result of the calculated columns can only be of the following data types: Text, Number, Currency, Yes/No, Date/Time.
  6. The columns data type for the value list lookups must be ‘Text’ to be compatible with web: if you make use of the Value List for a lookup field that has filled with Text values. You cannot use the numbers. The better solution, however is to create the reference lists that you can query to fill the list.
